Presentation Title

The Hidden Metric: Mental Health in Project Management

Presentation Synopsis

Project success is often measured by scope, schedule, and budget—but one of the most important factors is frequently overlooked: the mental health and well-being of the people delivering the work.

In this session, participants will explore how emotional intelligence, team resilience, and psychological safety directly influence communication, collaboration, decision-making, and overall project outcomes. Drawing from real-world project environments, including healthcare, attendees will gain practical strategies to better manage stress, strengthen team dynamics, and lead more sustainably in high-pressure environments.

Participants will leave with practical takeaways they can immediately apply to support both performance and well-being within their teams.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this session, attendees will be able to:

  • Recognize early signs of stress and burnout within project environments
  • Identify how emotional intelligence impacts communication, leadership, and team performance
  • Apply practical strategies to strengthen team resilience and psychological safety
  • Implement sustainable leadership practices that support both project outcomes and employee well-being
