Organizations commonly use titles such as Business Analyst, Scrum Master, Project Manager, and Product Owner, yet the responsibilities attached to those roles often vary based on organizational size, structure, and delivery maturity. This session explores how Scrum and delivery roles are interpreted and applied across small, mid-size, and enterprise organizations.

Rather than focusing on formal role definitions, the presentation examines practical role expectations, common areas of overlap, and points of collaboration  that emerge in real world environments. Attendees will gain insights into why role boundaries shift, how organizational context influences responsibilities, and how teams adapt roles to meet delivery and governance needs.

The session is designed to support professionals who work within or alongside Scrum and delivery teams and are seeking clarity on role alignment, expectations and effective collaboration across different organizational settings.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Describe how Scrum and delivery roles vary across small, mid-size and enterprise organizations.
  • Identify common areas of role overlap and collaboration that occur due to organizational structure and delivery maturity.
  • Understand how organizational context influences role expectations, responsibilities, and decision-making authority.
  • Recognize common misconceptions related to Scrum and delivery roles and their impact on team effectiveness.
  • Apply practical insights to improve role alignment and collaboration within their own organizational environments.
